Footscray Park Bowling Club was proud to host the Inner West Novice Tournament, a brand-new competition designed to shine the spotlight on Victoria’s up-and-coming bowlers. This open tournament welcomed novices from clubs across the state—regardless of gender—to test their skills in a fun yet competitive environment.

The tournament gave new bowlers the chance to experience a proper championship feel while still enjoying the camaraderie of the sport. With prize money, trophies, and bragging rights up for grabs, every end was played with focus, determination, and plenty of excitement.

📅 Tournament Schedule

  • Opening Round: Sunday, 12th January 2025

  • Second Round: Sunday, 19th January 2025

  • Finals Day: Sunday, 2nd February 2025

Across these three dates, novices had the opportunity to grow, learn, and put their best bowls forward on the greens of Footscray Park.

🎯 Who Could Enter?

This tournament was open to any bowler with three years or less of experience, and an affiliation date after 1st July 2022. With a modest entry fee of just $10, it was an accessible way for new players to get involved in a tournament setting.
